Absurdist American comedy duo TIM AND ERIC return to Australia for only the second time when they tour their live show “Tim and Eric – ’Stralia – Zealand Experience”around the country in December.
Live Nation is excited to announce the return of the cult pair who will bring their unique brand of humour for a whirlwind tour of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and for the first time, Perth, commencing Tuesday December 8. These are their first shows in Australia since touring in 2012.
Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker first met at university in the US in 1994 as film students, and have since created cult satirical TV shows, directed music videos and a movie, and most recently released their first book, Tim & Eric’s Zone Theory: 7 Easy Steps to Achieve a Perfect Life.
Since first exposing the world to their twisted peculiar world with the animated series Tom Goes to the Mayor, Tim and Eric have gone on to unleash five seasons of the deeply and profoundly odd television sketch comedy series’ for Adult Swim, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!.
A spin-off series starring John C. Reilly followed (Check It Out! with Dr Steve Brule), as well as a feature film in 2012 (Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay).
Tim and Eric have also brought their distinct comedic genius to TV commercials, creating infamous ads for Absolut Vodka with Zach Galifianakis, as well as big budget commercials for clients including Old Spice, Wrigley’s, Red Stripe and a Boost Mobile commercial that premiered during the 2010 Super Bowl XLIV. Eric has also directed music videos for MGMT “The Youth” and Major Lazer “Pon de Floor.”
Now audiences in Australia can witness the Tim and Eric formula live on stage with their famously bizarre sketches and their uncanny ability to satirize and offend almost everything. And DJ Dougg Pound. Of course.
