Perth’s The Floors unveil their blistering new single, “Pills” taken from their forthcoming sophomore LP, Beat It Down, out March 10, 2017 independently in Australia and on Beast Records in Europe.
Beat It Down is the second full-length studio album from The Floors. It is new, bold and forceful, while its essence showcases their dexterity and showmanship heard on previous releases.
On this album, Luke sings of what it’s like to take control of your life and at the same time, let go. The autobiographical “Pills,” for which The Floors have shared today, “is about surrendering to your vices; taking the easy, destructive way out,” explains Luke. While elsewhere on the record The Floors look outwardly, becoming a desensitised society (‘Meat’) and getting a little too comfortable (‘Join The Fight’). This is an album about seeing, learning, questioning and rejecting things, and the struggles within yourself.
