The Black Queen, consisting of Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan), Joshua Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv, ex-Nine Inch Nails), and Steven Alexander (former tech of both The Dillinger Escape Plan and Nine Inch Nails) are thrilled to add Melbourne producer Elisabeth Dixon who makes dark, experimental techno to their Australian Tour with LA two piece, Drab Majesty.
Elisabeth Dixon produced, recorded and mixed her debut entitled “LP1” in 2016 with mastering duties by James Plotkin (Sunn0))), Merzbow). LP1 quickly sold out in both Australia and Europe; the glowing critical response to Dixon’s “masterfully executed” debut signalling an exciting new talent
She layers meditative drones beneath heavy industrial techno beats, her approach to sound design is rooted in the ritual power of dance music; its ability to induce trance-like states and operate beyond rational thought to allow the listener access to the subconscious.
Dixon’s growing list of exclusive DJ mixes for well respected players such as Triple J, FBI, Bunker, I-D and THUMP blend dark techno, ritual chants, drumming and other meditative sounds. Her most recent mix made Triple J’s mix up BEST OF 2017.
There are only a handful of tickets remaining for the newly added shows in Brisbane and Melbourne. Get in quick to avoid disappointment as there will be no additional shows added.
