Seattle, WA indie rockers Subways on the Sun have signed with Spartan Records and will release their sophomore album ‘Capsize’ on September 21st.

The label has also just re-released the band’s 2013 debut record ‘The Honeymoon Stagecoach’ as a free download on the Spartan website and Bandcamp. It is also available on streaming services.

Vocalist/guitarist Erick Newbill says:

“Being able to announce a release date is so exciting for us because the wait is over both for us and our fans. We encountered a number of setbacks between ‘The Honeymoon Stagecoach’ and ‘Capsize,’ and it ended up taking us a lot longer to finish the new album than we’d planned. We cannot wait to get the songs out there.”

And as band that is used to doing everything ourselves, joining forces with Spartan Records means that the music will reach so many more people than before. John Frazier is a long time friend and ally and we can’t think of a better label to be working with. As a fan, I’ve kept my eye out for the latest releases from Spartan because the catalog has always been so varied and impressive, and I’m thrilled to have ‘Capsize’ released on the label. “

A new song off the band’s upcoming release ‘Capsize’ will be debuting on August 1st to coincide with the launch of pre-orders.
