Newcastle four-piece Split Feed today return with their new single ‘Dwell’. The single showcases Split Feed’s infectious, anthemic punk-rock composition and sets the tone of what’s to come from the band’s forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Second Skin’ due out November 8th.
“Dwell is a song that delves with the struggle of the realisation that someone doesn’t feel the same way towards you anymore”, reveals front man Joe Willis. “It’s quite a noticeably darker song lyrics wise but I think it perfectly illustrates how I was feeling during this time.”
“I often found that drinking and going out with friends was a temporary distraction from how I was feeling, but in the end, it usually just made it worse. In retrospect, it definitely wasn’t a great way of trying to overcome this hurdle in my life, and I knew this at the time, but for some reason I kept feeling the need to do it and I’m ever so grateful that I’ve come to terms with it now and realised it was never meant to be and it was for the best anyway.” Joe adds.
