Last year, the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) Festival Series was introduced with a handful of ancillary events produced in the lead up to Newtown Festival. The series provides an opportunity for Newtown Neighbourhood Centre to collaborate with even more local businesses, creatives and community groups in addition to Newtown Festival, increasing the Centre’s ability to raise awareness and generate funds to continue to provide frontline services to those doing it tough in the Inner West.
In 2018, the series has expanded with over 20 events on offer from September through to November. The series will provide something for everyone, with kids’ workshops, intimate gigs, street art, lawn bowls, an open-air cinema, story sessions and lessons in sustainability.
