Mushroom is excited to announce the next chapter of Mushroom After Hours in partnership with Colonial Brewing Co, featuring live sets from Mercury Award-nominated British rockers Wolf Alice, and emerging Sydney-based indie pop four-piece I Know Leopard.

After launching in style with sets from The Rubens and ALTA at the inaugural event in June, part two of the series will take place on Thursday 27 September (Grand Final public holiday eve) at Colonial’s brewery in Port Melbourne.

Transforming the brewery into an intimate and dynamic performance space, a group of lucky competition winners will ease into the Victorian long weekend with a selection of Colonial’s finest brews and tasty bites.

Wolf Alice will be in the midst of their tour of Australia and New Zealand when they hit the stage at Mushroom After Hours. The band have had an enormous year, having released their highly anticipated and critically acclaimed sophomore album Vision Of A Life on Liberator Music in September 2017, which propelled them further into the limelight and solidified them as United Kingdom’s most exciting rock export.

Kicking off proceedings on the night will be I Know Leopard who have just returned to the scene with their standout new track and video ‘Landmine’, released via Ivy League. The Sydney-via-Adelaide outfit have released two EPs to date, but have now emerged with a vibrant new sound revelling in glam, dream pop and playful, upbeat, 70s soft rock, with a stunning new look to boot. With a promise of a larger body of work on the horizon, they are shaping up for a breakout twelve months ahead.

The band will be playing headline shows along the east coast this October, and will be gracing the stage at BIGSOUND on Thursday 6 Septemberarmed with artillery of new music.
