The Laneway Festival has announced that the official afterparties for this year’s event will help raise money for those affected by the bushfire crisis. Line-up and ticketing details will be revealed in the coming weeks but in the meantime you can mark your diaries with the info below:
Laneway Festival Bushfire Fun-Raisers!
1 Feb – BRISBANE – WOOLLY MAMMOTH
2 Feb – SYDNEY – OXFORD ART FACTORY
7 Feb – ADELAIDE – LION ARTS FACTORY
8 Feb – MELBOURNE – THE NIGHT CAT
9 Feb – FREMANTLE – FREO SOCIAL
In addition, Laneway will donate 50c from every beer sold at each Australian event to a local bushfire release charity (to be announced closer to the date).
We are proud of the fundraising efforts of artists playing this year’s line-up, including Tones & I, Stella Donnelly and Hockey Dad, and others and our thoughts are with everyone affected.
Laneway Festival is also proud of its continuing partnership with Future Classic, the boundary-pushing independent record label, publisher and management company that has bought the world’s attention to the likes of Laneway grads Flume, G Flip and Flight Facilities. Future Classic will again host a stage at the national event, so come down and dance to Earl Sweatshirt, J.I.D, and Mahalia, among others.
The Girls Rock! Stage will return to Adelaide for a second year! The award-winning not-for-profit organisation hosts national camps that empower young female, trans, and gender-diverse people in music. Catch newly-added upcoming acts including Lonelyspeck, Stacey Says, Shahrae, Homeward Bound and Katie Pomeroy alongside established heroes Hatchie and Kucka and learn more about Girls Rock!
