Adelaide metalcore five-piece Glass Tides are dropping their latest jaw-dropping single “Waste”, set to be released on Friday 11th October 2019. Inspired by the sounds of Bring Me The Horizon and The Used, the careening instrumentals in “Waste” produce brooding undertones to the explosive angst-filled anthem that slices through the listlessness of life. Alongside “Crawling”-their first single of 2019 released in August- “Waste” serves as the perfect taster ahead of the release of the band’s full-length album release set for release on 17th January 2020.
The single’s accompanying lyric music video was also revealed today. Electrifying and brooding, the aesthetic stormy evening visuals of the video complement the elements of metal-core and overall message of the track, with the band stating, “We have all been screwed over in some way or another, “Waste” is our way of chucking the middle finger up & saying catch ya later”. This angsty piece is an example of Glass Tides’ popularity in the genre.
