Back in 2012 Canadian pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen released the catchy song “Call Me Maybe”. The song got stuck in many Aussie’s heads and ever since we have been patiently waiting for Carly to play live shows in Australia. Now fast forward to 2019 and with four albums she is finally in Sydney tonight to play the Enmore Theatre as part of her Dedicated Tour.

She burst onto the stage like a ball of energy and looking like a Disney princess, kicking things off with “Runaway with me”. From then on it was a night full of joyful pop music complete with mirror ball above the stage and a backing band with plenty of sax appeal. Some obvious setlist highlights were hearing the entire packed Enmore crowd sing the huge hits “Call me maybe” and “I really like you”. However her newer songs also really resonated with the crowd like “now that I found you” and the song she finished her main set with “party for one”.

Carly returned to the stage for her encore giving us “Lets get lost” and then to finish was “cut to the feeling”. Throughout her nineteen song set should would give cute little stories to intro songs and just like the crowd Carly couldn’t stop smiling. After tonights performance all I can say is a night with Carly Rae is always a good time. Carly we really, really, really like you.
