Five Feet Apart is the story of Stella a teenage girl who is living in a hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient . While in hospital she meets Will a fellow patient. Will’s charming rebellious nature leads Stella to fall for him but due to their illness these young lovers must maintain a safe distance from each other at all times.

Haley Lu Richardson was a perfect choice to embody the character of Stella. She gives a moving and real performance of a girl trying to remain optimistic in the face of this disease. This was the feature film debut for director Justin Baldoni  and he was both respectful to the subject matter and had a way of getting the most out of the actors.  

This emotional film shows that love has no boundaries. If you were a fan of movies like Fault In Our Stars or Midnight Sun then be sure to watch Five Feet Apart. The blu-ray features deletes scenes, an alternate ending and an insight into how they made the film.
