He’s walked on water, walked down the side of the LA Times Building, predicted the 2014 Football World Cup outcome and casually taken a trip across London levitated off the side of a double decker bus. Now Dynamo announces his first ever Australian tour, with the renowned street magician confirmed to take to arena stages in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth with his acclaimed Seeing Is Believing tour in November 2016.
Dynamo will delight fans across Australia, with the opportunity to see his magic skills in what promises to be a spectacular and unique live stage production. To date Dynamo has only taken the tour across the UK & Ireland, playing a massive 111 shows, with more than 400,000 tickets sold.
Dynamo said of the announcement of his first ever live tour of Australia: “The Australian fans have always been incredible and I can’t wait to bring the tour out there so they can experience my magic first hand. I don’t want to say too much but everyone who comes to the show is in for a big surprise!”
UK critics have universally applauded the Seeing Is Believing tour, which recently concluded in the UK.
Dynamo, whose real name is Steven Frayne, hit TV screens just over four years ago with his first series of Magician Impossible, in that short time he has quickly established himself as one of the world’s most known and most loved magicians. The series has been broadcast in over 180 countries globally, reaching a cumulative audience around the world of more than 400 million people. In Australia the shows, aired on the Seven Network, have been a phenomenon. To coincide with the tour announcement Seven have confirmed new Dynamo episodes will air on Thursday 28 July and Thursday 4 August at 10pm. Repeat episodes will also be airing on July 29 and 31 and August 5. Check local TV guides for timings.
In 2012 Dynamo was awarded the highest accolade by the magic circle with his promotion to Member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, a position only held by 300 magicians worldwide, including HRH Prince of Wales. Earlier this year Dynamo was awarded “Magician of the Year” at the Academy of Magical Arts 48th Annual Awards Show.
Limited Family Tickets are available for the matinee shows and include four tickets, with a minimum of two children required at an age of 15 years and under. Valid concession entitlement ID will be required at the event and may be checked at any time.
