Please see below statement from festival organisers:

“To all the beer and cider lovers –  after careful deliberation, we, the Crafted Beer & Cider Festival team have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone the 2020 event due to take place on Saturday 12 September.

When we went on sale six weeks ago, we did so under the premise that we would be able to run the event much like our previous years but with extra COVID Safe measures in place to ensure the safety of all attendees such as social distancing and extra sanitisation and contact tracing measures.

The health and safety of you, our beer drinking pals and ticket holders is always our first priority and in a response to the recent community transmission in NSW & VIC, a new regulation has since come from QLD authorities requiring all event attendees to be seated within a licenced venue – whether indoors or outdoors.

A free-flowing and fun environment is important to the atmosphere and overall experience of Crafted Beer & Cider Festival and it’s something we never want to compromise on. We feel that keeping everyone sitting for the whole event would ultimately affect the core of what Crafted Festival is about – ‘exploring the site, trying new drops and standing around, chatting with your mates over a frothy.’

We have been working closely with the local Public Health Unit to look further into ways that we could ensure the safety of all patrons while not having this seating rule impact on the overall event structure, as well as waiting to see if the additional regulation may change in time for the event, especially since the great position QLD has had in response to the minimisation of COVID-19 cases.

Unfortunately, there has been no change as yet and at this stage, the event will be postponed until we are able to hold it in a way that will be enjoyable for everyone attending. We appreciate the incredible support you’ve shown for our event so far and we’re working hard to find a new date really soon so you can join us again for a brew.”

The event and music industry have been one of the hardest hit during COVID-19, and festival organisers ask that patrons hold onto their ticket for the new event date announcement, in support of industry of workers that tirelessly work behind the scenes of events such as Crafted.

Refunds will be made available to those who are unable to attend at the newly announced date, with further information on how to claim being issued directly to all ticket holders from Oztix.
